If anyone would have told me back in 2016 I would return to yoga after a few years absence, I would have said “No way.” After my mold illness, I didn’t think I could return to “normal” because of the havoc it created in my body systems. Most people didn’t even know how ill I was. Back in 2018, I returned slowly to yoga after opening my office as a meditation studio. And here I am now, feeling healthier and stronger in mind, body & spirit with all the modalities that I practice. I’m not where I would like to be as yet, but the progress is amazing. It takes one step at a time while listening to your body and taking variations that work for you. Practice self-compassion and meditate and the rest will unfold.

Deb has studied and practiced meditation since 1980. In 40 years, she has explored a wide range of different meditation traditions: Mindfulness, Hindi, Buddhist, Centering Prayer, Self-Realization Fellowship, Transformation Meditation, Hindi, Modern Psychology, Yoga Philosophy & Psychology, and A Course in Miracles, to name a few. She has several certifications both in meditation and mindfulness. Two of which she was mentored by former Buddhist monks. As a lifelong learner, she continues to attend training for personal and professional growth.
Deb has practiced yoga since 1996 when she was pregnant with her youngest child. She was appreciative of the gentle nature of the practice and the integration of mind, body, and spirit as she performed asanas (yoga poses). It has been a part of her physical and mental healing since. She is a Yoga Instructor and a Yoga-for-All Certified Instructor with a focus on Mindful, Gentle and Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga for all shapes, sizes, and abilities. She has completed training as a Clinical Yoga Therapist.
Spirituality is a significant part of Deb’s life. Her connection with the Divine is essential to her life and she actively receives Inner Guidance. Through her received guidance she has been able to transform her life from one of tragedy and trauma to one of equanimity and peace. She has shared this wisdom as a spiritual teacher for almost 30 years.
